Camblesforth Solar Farm

Camblesforth Solar Farm (CSFL) is a 49.9MW solar (PV) and 10MW Battery Energy Storage (BESS) project under construction and located due north of Camblesforth village, North Yorkshire.

The project is now being constructed over the course 2024/25 to provide power to over 22,800 homes and to reduce carbon emissions by over 17,500 tonnes.

Local Content

Local content in construction, including labour and materials.

Benefit Funding

A community benefit fund of £75,000 to the council upon completion of the project.

Biodiversity

Achieving over 16% biodiversity net gain through landscaping and ecological enhancements.

Climate Obligations

Meeting our obligations under the renewable energy transition and climate change obligations.

Project Timeline

Our preferred contractors for the project have now been selected and you may have noticed enabling works have already commenced. The projects general timeline is below:

May 2024

Project acquired.

Sept 2024

Completion of construction contractor tendering and supplier evaluation.

Oct 2024

Commencement of detailed design and discharging of conditions.

Nov 2024

Enabling works commenced, temporary fencing and security installed, and entrances and access works.

Feb 2025

Start of full construction. Delivery and installation of grid connection works.

Summer 2025

Delivery and installation of main PV and BESS equipment. Installing cables.

Summer 2025

Implementing and landscaping and biodiversity improvements.

Oct 2025

Camblesforth goes live!
